BioLab Holdings, a medical technology company based in Phoenix, has taken a significant step to broaden its product lineup for healthcare providers. The firm recently announced a strategic collaboration with mimiX AWC, a regenerative medicine developer, to bring a new wound care solution to the market. This move is aimed at giving clinicians more options when dealing with complex tissue repair cases.
The centerpiece of this agreement is the FastSkin Patch, a device that uses a patient's own whole blood to create a clot that supports natural healing. Instead of relying on donor tissue or synthetic materials, the technology leverages the body's own biology to encourage skin regeneration. BioLab says this approach fits neatly into its existing tissue restoration portfolio, which already serves a range of surgical and wound care needs.
For providers, the addition of this autologous system means another tool for treating chronic wounds, burns, or surgical sites where healing is slow. The partnership is designed to make the technology easier to access, with BioLab handling distribution and customer support while mimiX focuses on continued product development. Executives from both companies expressed optimism about the deal, noting that it reflects a shared commitment to practical, biology-driven solutions. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The rollout is expected to begin in select markets before a wider launch later in the year.
