Bradley University announces launch of two technology majors

Bradley University has officially opened enrollment for two new undergraduate degree programs, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, both housed within the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems. The announcement was made Tuesday, marking a significant expansion of the university's technology curriculum.

The new majors are designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in fields that rely on large-scale data analysis and intelligent systems. The Artificial Intelligence program will focus on machine learning, neural networks, natural language processing, and the ethical considerations of deploying AI in real-world settings. The Data Science major, meanwhile, will emphasize statistical modeling, data visualization, database management, and the practical application of analytics across various industries.

University officials say the programs were developed with input from industry partners to ensure that graduates are prepared for immediate employment. Students will have access to dedicated labs and project-based coursework that mirrors challenges faced in the workplace. Current students in the computer science department can also explore the new tracks as electives before formally declaring a major.

Bradley University expects the first cohort of students to begin coursework in the upcoming fall semester. The programs are open to both incoming freshmen and current students looking to transfer into the new fields.
