Lotus Wireless Technologies (LWT) India, in collaboration with the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), has unveiled a pioneering advancement in electric vehicle (EV) charging technology. The introduction of the Medium Voltage Solid State Transformer (SST) marks a significant milestone as it becomes India's first commercial-scale implementation of this innovative technology.
Demonstrated at LWT's facility in Aganampudi, the SST technology is designed to facilitate megawatt-scale superfast EV charging. This revolutionary advancement has the potential to drastically reduce the time it takes to charge electric vehicles, transforming the current charging experience from hours to mere minutes.
