MassBay Community College Automotive Program Selected for National Pilot Initiative

MassBay Community College’s Automotive Technology All Brand Program has been selected as one of only four programs in the country to participate in an exciting new pilot initiative aimed at enhancing technician training. This initiative, developed in collaboration with the Advanced Vehicle Technology Education and Credentialing Coalition (AVTECC), focuses on creating a skills-based certification and accreditation framework.

The goal of this innovative program is to ensure that automotive training remains relevant and effective in meeting the demands of the rapidly evolving automotive industry. By aligning the curriculum with current technological advancements and industry standards, the program aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their careers.

This recognition highlights MassBay's commitment to providing high-quality education and training in automotive technology. The pilot program is expected to serve as a model for other institutions, ultimately contributing to a stronger workforce in the automotive sector.
