Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (DJT)’s Loss Widened to $238 Million. Its New Data Feed Is Already Making Money

Trump Media and Technology Group posted a wider net loss for the second quarter, with the red ink reaching $238 million compared to roughly $20 million in the same period last year. The company said most of the increase came from over $190 million in losses tied to its digital asset and equity holdings, as cryptocurrency prices dropped during the quarter.

Despite the larger loss, the parent company of Truth Social pointed to a new revenue stream that is already generating income. Its recently launched data feed service, which provides real-time information to outside clients, has started bringing in money sooner than expected. Company executives described the early results as encouraging and said they plan to expand the offering in the coming months.

Total revenue for the quarter remained small but showed some growth compared to the prior year. The company continues to face heavy operating costs as it builds out its platform and works to attract more users and advertisers. Management said they are focused on cutting unnecessary expenses while investing in areas that can drive future sales.

The stock, which trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker DJT, has been volatile since the company went public earlier this year. Investors have watched the share price swing sharply as the company navigates legal challenges and the broader political landscape. The earnings report did not include any major surprises beyond the size of the digital asset losses, which some analysts had already anticipated.

Looking ahead, the company said it expects the data feed business to become a meaningful part of its overall revenue picture. Executives also reiterated their commitment to growing Truth Social's user base and improving the platform's features. They did not provide specific guidance for the next quarter but said they remain optimistic about the long-term direction of the business.
